Polyurethane resin ideal for prototypes as well as pre-production samples and small batches. Ideal for vacuum filling. The high mechanical strength and the preservation of the geometric stability of finished products make it possible to cast multicomponent parts from this resin that experience increased operational loads.

Scope of product use

Due to the high thermal stability and mechanical strength of finished products, the resin is used for vacuum casting in the following industries:

  • In the auto industry. Many plastic parts (including decorative engine covers, end caps, etc.) are cast from this resin. For the same purposes, Biresin products are often used (it is more difficult to buy these resins, their cost is higher).
  • In other manufacturing industries where parts are required that can withstand compressive loads, bending, operating at high and even extremely high temperatures.

Benefits of using Synthene PR 700

Products for the manufacture of which this material was used have a number of important advantages:

  • Since the modulus of elasticity of finished parts cast from this resin reaches 1800 MPa, and the thermal stability reaches HdT: 130°C, the material is suitable for casting very thin, yet strong structural components.
  • The resin practically does not interact with flexible injection molds and other tooling elements, as a result of which the service life of the latter increases.
  • Very low linear settling (2mm/m), which allows casting components with a very high degree of detail.
  • High degree of geometric stability of finished parts.

Finally, when using this resin, the vacuum casting process itself is greatly simplified. The working solution has a low viscosity and a long period of life, due to which it fills the entire internal space of the casting mold, making it possible to obtain castings with high surface detail and without internal defects.
